5 Pedallers turned up to have a great time on Saturday evening together with 6 members of Exeter CTC.
Having gathered in the scenic setting of Exeter Cathedral we cycled the streets of Exeter passing a good number of witches on our way to the River Exe.
Once on the cycle path we made rapid progress and sped passed the Double Locks and its massive bonfire, we were feeling in sparkling form, almost explosive you could say and the prospect of a glass of mulled wine, a big bonfire and fireworks at Turf Locks was incentive enough to get there quickly.
A bit of a ‘pop’ followed by a pssssssss and we all found ourselves gathered around Quiff to shed some light on his fixie for a quick puncture repair. Jeff from Exeter CTC didn’t want to be left out so had a puncture at the same spot to keep Quiff company. Anyway, tyres fixed, off we pedalled and had a brilliant time at Turf Locks, with great grub, stunning fireworks a scorching bonfire and great company.
